Why Orrosiy believes in the power of eco-friendly packaging
Eco-friendly packaging is a choice
At Orrosiy, we take our sustainability credentials seriously. From the creation of our natural perfumes to the boxes they sit in, every detail has been planned with environmental considerations in mind. We know that it takes more than a few small acts to save the planet, but we remain committed to doing everything we can to minimise our impact while producing the gorgeous products you deserve.
That includes using British companies to reduce our carbon footprint and partnering with businesses that reflect our eco values. In short, everything you buy from Orrosiy champions eco-friendly and began choices in outer packaging, labels, leaflets and stickers. Curious about it all? Here’s a run-through of our eco packaging and what it all means.
Eco-friendly boxes
Each perfume is presented in our beautiful bespoke olive green boxes, handmade in the United Kingdom. Featuring eco-friendly materials, our partnerships with Tiny Box Maker and Winter Company gives us access to FSC-certified recycled board and paper and Wibalin® Natural, a high-quality, fully recyclable uncoated, dyed-trough paper.
Each company is guided by stringent eco-policies, from measuring their UK global impact to building economic and social sustainability. This neatly ties into our mission to monitor every part of our production process, and to operate in the most sustainable way possible.
Biodegradable labels and stickers
Paying attention to every part of the production process is essential to us at Orrosiy. That way, we can be confident that we are staying true to our commitments as a brand. Non-eco-friendly stickers and labels are often placed on packaging, but we’ve taken care to only select types that are fully biodegradable by partnering with The Green Label Company.
These include the clear labels on the bottom of your perfume box, which contain your product information. Made from materials such as biodegradable paper, they are also free from animal products. Other packaging labels on the back of the pack are manufactured from Cane Fibre (AKA Bagasse), a biodegradable material made from 95% sugar cane fibres and 5% hemp and linen.
Compostable leaflets
If we need to create leaflets for any products or campaigns, we do it with the help of Hatch, an eco-friendly, sustainable and vegan printing company. Based in the UK, Hatch enables us to work smart, focussing on high-quality leaflets for our brand without compromising on our eco-conscious credentials.
All leaflets are made using eco-friendly printing methods, such as only using carbon-neural machinery, LED lighting within the factory, and transporting the leaflets from the factory to our door by sustainable Gophr vehicles. Created using soy-based vegan inks and printed on recycled, plantable and compostable papers, Hatch is also the UK’s first printer to boast a Vegetarian Society Approved vegan accreditation.
